Executed 100 community service projects in one day, including medical camps, aid to the underprivileged, school support, and honoring frontline workers. As part of the Rotary Foundation’s 100th anniversary celebrations, 100 saplings were planted in a single day at the Gobi Rotary Manchester Campus. The initiative was organized by the Rotary Club of Gobichettipalayam in association with Eye Trust Hospital.
The programme was inaugurated by Rotary leaders and representatives of participating organizations. During the event, saplings were distributed to students and awareness was created about the importance of environmental conservation and increasing green cover.
Members of the Rotary Club, educational institutions, social organizations, students, and volunteers actively participated in the tree-planting drive. The organizers emphasized that planting and nurturing trees is essential for protecting the environment and ensuring a healthier future for coming generations.
Speaking on the occasion, Rotary representatives stated that the project was undertaken to commemorate the centenary of the Rotary Foundation and to encourage greater public participation in environmental initiatives.
The event concluded with the planting of 100 saplings and a pledge by participants to protect and maintain the trees for sustainable growth.
